Mr Ong Kai Seng is a Registered Valuer and Estate Agent. He is a member of the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia.
He has more than 30 years of working experience in both the public and private sectors. He started his career with the Valuation and Property Services Department, Ministry of Finance, Malaysia where he served first as a senior assistant valuation officer and subsequently a valuation officer. In his 22 years with the department, he undertook valuations of a wide range of properties including for Securities Commission purposes, Foreign Investment Committee requirements, government privatisation, taxations and compulsory land acquisitions. He was part of the task force involved in the Land Acquisition of land for the construction of the KL International Airport in Sepang and followed by the acquisition of land for Putrajaya, the new Federal Administrative City. He had also served as the Unit Head for research and National Property Index Committee at the Bangi office of the Department.
After leaving the government service, he was involved in the preparation of compensation claims for private owners of land acquired for the Kajang – Seremban Highway (KASIH Highway) and the Kajang Traffic Dispersal Ring Road System (SILK Highway).
