Daniel was the Group Chief Operating Officer and Director Asset Management for the Aquaint Property group based in Singapore and sat in the board of the Australian listed company, Aquaint Capital Holdings Ltd as one of their Executive Directors. He assumed the responsibility of the group’s core businesses in property asset management, property investment, property development and fund management in Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Germany, India and Malaysia.
In Singapore, he was the secretary and later the Chairman of the Association of Project Managers from 1997 to 1999 and was instrumental in building a sizeable property portfolio for the largest life insurance company in Singapore from 50,000 sq ft to 500,000 sq ft over a period of 9 years.
Some of his managed real estate asset portfolio includes iconic Goodwood Hotels Group comprising Goodwood Park Hotel, Century Park Sheraton Hotel, York Hotel, Ladyhill Hotel, Hotel Malaysia; AIA Tower; AIA Alexandra, Singapore; Noel Gifts Corporate HQ, Singapore; Kingsway City; Old Perth Port; Cottesloe Central; The Melbourne Hotel, Chateau Commodore Hotel, Perth and Baptistcare’s portfolio of low and high-care nursing homes in Western Australia. Latest hotel projects include FURI Hotel & Mall, Sihanoukville, and Norodom Office/Hotel, Phnom Penh. Total Assets Under Management in his watch over 40 years to date is about US$3 Billion. Over 15 years of proven track record were in the hospitality industry both in Singapore, Perth and Cambodia. He had worked for public listed companies and multi-national companies like NatSteel Ltd, Liang Court Holdings Ltd, Noel Gifts International Ltd, American International Group, Chesterton International and Colliers International holding senior positions in both property asset management and property development over the last 40 years.
Prior to retiring and refired before joining the listed property group, he was lecturing at Curtin University, Curtin Business School, School of Economics & Finance in the core disciplines of property asset management, property development, property market analysis, business & specialised valuation and property valuation practices for the last four years. He sit on the Academic Advisory Board at Royal Chartered Institute in Cambodia as their first Chairman.
