Y.M Raja Abd Aziz Bin Raja Azlan is a Registered Valuer and Estate Agent. He is a member of the Institution of Surveyors Malaysia. He obtained his Advanced Diploma in Estate Management from University Technology MARA, PG Dip in Countryside Recreation Management from the University of Sheffield Hallam, United Kingdom and PG Dip in Sc Mgt from INTAN, Malaysia.ext
He has more than 30 years of working experience in the public and semi-private sectors. He started his career in 1985 as a valuation officer with the Valuation and Property Services Department, Ministry of Finance, Malaysia. In 2000, he was appointed as the District Valuer for Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan. In 2002, he joined the Multimedia Super Corridor, a semi-government body involved in facilities management.
In his 17 years with the government department, he undertook valuations of a wide range of properties including government privatisation, taxation and compulsory land acquisitions. He was involved in the land acquisition exercises for the North-South Highway, KL International Airport, Putrajaya and Cyberjaya in Sepang. He was also a lecturer at the National Institute of Property Training (INSPEN) in Bangi and as a guest lecturer at UiTM Shah Alam.
When he was in the department, he also sat as a committee member representing the department in a number of government bodies, such as Selangor Investment Committee under PNSB, privatisation project committee of the Economic Planning Unit and the Puchong Malay Reservation Land (Land Readjustment) committee under the Town & Country Planning Department, Head of Department Liaison Committee, Labuan Development Consultation Council and National Land Information.
He also sat as an Assessor and advised High Court judges on compensation claims for land acquisitions cases coming before the Court.
